Itching

The extensive venous congestion causes venous eczema and itchiness, which appear during daytime and nighttime. The itch will eventually ruin the skin above the veins thus causing damage and bruises. Actions such as removing Edema through an elastic bandage, long walks as well as a local skin treatment using ointments that contain steroids can significantly relieve the itch.
