DVT – Deep Vein Thrombosis
DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) occurs when blood clots block the deep veins.
This block is dangerous due to the transfer of blood clots from the deep veins into the lungs through the right heart. The treatment for DVT is usually conservative and concludes of blood dilution medicine and wearing elastic socks for an extensive period of time.
The purpose of the elastic sock is to prevent complications that are caused from the DVT.
