Changes to Skin Color and wounds
Venous Ulcer
Varicose Veins patients can experience Venostatic changes, which are changes in the color of the skin. These changes are originated from extensive venous pressure with continuous damage to the vein’s wall and to the skin. The venous blood is locked in the vein for a long period of time and then it disintegrates thus making the iron in it sink into the skin tissues hypodermically. The skin in that area becomes itchy and thin. The itchiness, which is followed by skin damage or any other injury, cause the creation of long venous wounds.
